It is hard to believe that we are already approaching Christmas in a term that saw great change at the start in September at Moorfield.
With Mr Baddeley now fully installed as the new Head of Moorfield School, we also welcomed our new school secretary, Debbie Firth. I am sure that you are all getting to know her more and more each week. The new IT system also seems to have ‘settled in’ and is proving a great asset to the school across all areas of the day to day functionality.
As a Governing Board, we are always looking at ways that we can re-invest any financial surplus back into the school to enhance the overall experience for our children. I will try and update you as to any plans that we have once we have had our next meeting on 4th December. Between now and then, we are also signing off the Year End Accounts for the school which make very positive reading due to the increased numbers of children that have joined Moorfield in the last 6 months.
We are confident that the school’s future success is assured and that we will remain financially strong, enabling us to plan boldly for improving Moorfield even further.
I am also delighted to inform you that we have welcomed 2 new Governors onto the team this term. Firstly, Cathie Butcher who is the Director of Administrations at Ashville College, Harrogate; and secondly, Simon Hinchliffe, Head Master of Bradford Grammar School. We are certain that both our new Governors will bring with them a wealth of experience and will benefit and strengthen our team greatly.
Please remember that the Governors are always contactable should you need to get in touch for any reason (at Malton@MoorfieldSchool.co.uk)
I look forward to seeing you all at the various events before we break for Christmas.
