History
In order to develop the children’s understanding and enthusiasm for the past, the
History curriculum at Moorfield is taught through a variety of methods. Visits are
arranged to bring the past to life and topics can be taught as studies of a period
or through themes. A cross-curricular approach is used involving Art, DT, drama or
literacy. Through a broad range of sources and the use of personal research, the children
develop a questioning approach thereby gaining insight into, and perspective of, the
present time.
