Design and Technology
DT has recently been introduced as a stand-alone subject and has proved very popular.
With a subject specialist overseeing the DT curriculum and a new Art and DT room being
developed within the school, there is plenty of space and expertise to give our pupils
another well-resourced subject within the curriculum.
We approach topics as a problem solving exercises in order to expand critical thinking
and find individual solutions. We aim for the pupils to think independently and become
creative problem solvers. The topics are included across the curriculum. The essence of
DT is the application of skills and knowledge to solve problems which arise from the
needs of people and society.
